Over the past 18 months, a group of year 14 St. Louise’s students completed the Pope John Paul II Award. All thirteen students achieved the Gold Award. The students achieved Gold by completing a range of religious/parish activities such as welcoming parishioners, reading at Mass, helping with the offertory, writing and reading Communion reflections and going on pilgrimage. Some students also participated in Down & Connor faith programmes at Living Youth such as Alpha and ‘Altaration.’
Students also completed a wide range of social activities such as charity fundraising, football coaching, donating to food banks and baby banks, mentoring younger students, volunteering at breakfast and homework clubs and building with Habitat for Humanity! Huge congratulations to all our Pope John Paull II participants! Well done!
This term, St Louise’s Home Economics staff, assisted by Mr Woods, have been busy making and selling sausage rolls in a bid to raise money for the Cancer Fund for Children and Macmillan.
