A group of 30 St Louise’s students from years 8 to 14 travelled to Derry last week to participate in the City of Derry International Choir Festival. The prestigious festival is now in its sixth year however; this was St Louise’s first time participating in the event. The St Louise’s choir performed two contrasting pieces of music and were delighted to receive the Bernadette Kelly Memorial award for most promising school choir. Choir director, Mrs. Ciara Hogarty was delighted with the accolade and stated, “I am extremely proud of the girls involved in the competition, they performed with such poise and precision and I look forward to hopefully participating again next year”. Congratulations to the St Louise’s Choir and those involved in helping to prepare the girls for the festival.
