St Louise’s Host Irish News Critical Literacy Project 2020

St Louise’s College was delighted to host the launch of the Irish News Critical Literacy Project for 2020 on Wednesday 8th January.  Students from St Louise’s have been involved in the project since 2016 and have benefited immensely from the challenging and enlivening activities.  The award winning Irish News Critical Literacy Project brings an invigorating 8 weeks of activities that offer a different way to challenge the knowledge and understanding of young readers while introducing them to the wonderful world of newspapers in conjunction with the Irish News.  The project can provide a great way for them to improve their reading and writing, as well as their talking and listening skills.

Congratulations to Miss Melanie Elliott for organising the launch and for her involvement in facilitating the project since its inception in St Louise’s.  Well done to all the students who have participated in the project and we look forward to the continuation of the delivery of the project in our school.
