A' Level Results

13th August 2015

Based on the release of the A’Level results, Post 16 students in Saint Louise’s College, have achieved the best results in the history of the school with over 77% of students achieving 3A* - C based on over 30 General and Applied A’Level subjects.  At a time when the numbers achieving top grades has declined nationally, St Louise’s students continue to show outstanding improvement with 93.4% of grades at C or above.

Miss McHenry, stressed that the whole school community is absolutely delighted with the results.  She said,

‘This cohort of students produced the best results in the history of St Louise’s at GCSE and they have continued on this upward trend since.  It is an absolute privilege to work with such inspiring young people who strive every day to be the best that they can be’.

‘We are very proud of our young men and women who have achieved outstanding results this year and can now progress to their chosen pathway in third level education or the world of work.  I congratulate them on their achievements and wish them every success in the future.  I also pay tribute to their dedicated, hard working teachers who are delighted with their students’ successes.  The teachers in St Louise’s are committed to excellence in learning and teaching and go the extra mile every single day for our girls and boys; we facilitate a highly successful Saturday school, we also open school late into the evenings, hold early morning, lunch time and after school classes.  With teachers, I would also like to acknowledge and thank our parents whose support and sense of partnership underpin all our achievements’.

Miss McHenry also paid tribute to the outstanding results at AS Level.

‘The present AS cohort has received excellent results.  Their AS results reflect their outstanding work ethic and that of their teachers.  I wish them every success as they continue on their A’Level journey.’

She then went on to stress,

‘We are proud to be a high, value-adding school and will continue to work tirelessly to nurture the talents of all the talented young people in our community.  Once again all-ability schools, such as Saint Louise’s, prove that all our young people can achieve academic success in inclusive, centres of excellence without the need for selection at the age of 11.’
